Tech Institute Support

The Instituto Superior Tecnológico (ISTE) in Mache is a regional agrarian school where future farmers learn modern cultivation techniques and animal husbandry. When the Ministry began its support, the school had just 15 students. Today it serves 170.

The Sisters of Mercy in Mache administer the Ministry's assistance to ISTE, which includes seminars by visiting professors, computer equipment and training, and partial scholarships for local students to study accounting and animal husbandry.

Board member Jerry Fickel provides ongoing guidance and direction to ensure efficient use of the Ministry's grants — a model of intentional stewardship that maximizes impact at every level.

The institute has grown from 15 students to 170 — a transformation made possible because there were people willing to invest not just money but knowledge. The visiting professors bring expertise that no local teacher could provide alone. — Ministry Board Report
