Medical Crisis Support

Medical assistance and medicine are simply not available for those who cannot afford them in Alto Trujillo. When urgent need arises, Sister Immaculata becomes a tireless advocate — sourcing funds for medicine, hospitalization, surgeries, and basic food for families in crisis.

The Support for the Poor program provides monthly financial assistance to 38 families — a modest but meaningful supplement that those families eagerly await on the first Wednesday of every month.

The Ministry's emergency fund has covered everything from knee replacement surgery to ongoing epilepsy medicine for children, and arthritis medication that allows mothers to live and work without constant pain.

There's always need here for emergency money for medicine, hospitalization, food. Father Pusak's donation is a real blessing for parents with epileptic children who need medicine constantly; also for some arthritic mothers who can now live without pain. The first Wednesday of every month is eagerly awaited by 38 families who benefit from our Support for the Poor program. — Sister Immaculata
