Children's Library

Children’s Library in Alto Trujillo & Mache

The Children’s Library is for school children who live in nearby neighborhoods. More than 400 students have registered so far and come to the facility to do homework, meet their friends, consult reference books, and read children stories. A trained librarian oversees activities and guides children in their reading.

Sister Immaculata says:
The library is a very successful project and continues to be used by so many students. The librarian is very creative and again in the summer, during school vacation, she runs PLAN LECTOR to encourage children to read. Peru has the second lowest reading ability in Latin America.
