Medical Crisis Support in Alto Trujillo
Medical assistance and medicines are not always available for those who cannot afford it. When the need is urgent Sister Immaculata is a tireless advocate for those cases that come to her attention. In addition, Sister’s Support for the Poor program includes financial assistance to needy families to purchase food and other basic necessities.
Sister Immaculata says:
There’s always need here for emergency money for medicine, hospitalization, food, etc. Father Pusak’s donation is a real blessing for parents with epileptic children who need medicine constantly; also for some arthritic mothers who at least now can live without pain. Carlos’ operation (knee replacement) was 100% success. The first Wednesday of every month is eagerly awaited by 38 families who benefit from our Support for the Poor program. It is supplementary but obviously means so much to them.
